Evaluation System

This system is intended to enable the USCG to objectively and conveniently evaluate Non-profit Organization grant proposals and to conduct risk assessments of the organizations that submit the proposals. All the evaluations and assessment that are submitted will be automatically saved to a database and analyzed to assist in decisions concerning grant awards. The system is only accessible to persons that are assigned user names and passwords.

The system is designed so that USCG staff assigned to conduct risk assessments will first identify the organization, and then will assess the organization on 10 different criteria for organizations that were previously awarded (20 this year) USCG and 6 criteria for new Non-Profit Grant applicants (4 this year). This year, those assigned to evaluate the proposals, will rate 54 proposals on 10 different measures. Evaluators are also encouraged to provide comments to explain the rationale for their evaluations or to provide supplemental information.
